Casablanca, Morocco




 Made it to Casablanca, a couple of days before our group tour begins. 

Guided tour of Hassan II Mosque, the only way infidels are allowed in. I guess the admission fee helps with the upkeep. 

Walked through old city and market then a Tangine for lunch.

    Casablanca is an excellent starting point for seeing Morocco because of its advantageous position and well-connected transportation system. The Sahara Desert, famous cities, and beach getaways are all conveniently accessible from Casablanca, whether you're flying in from overseas or visiting the country (Touring Morocco Agency).

A beautiful mountain town. Most of the buildings are painted blue. Very clean with an unbelieveable amount of ferel cats. Went on a mountain hike through the Rif mountains that was quite strenuous but had a wonderful home cooked lunch at a gite at the end before taking a 4×4 vehicle back to the hotel.
