Cairo, Egypt

 Arrived in Cairo late last night, drive from airport to hotel was like a bad Nascar race.

El-Tahrir square near our hotel. Meet with others on tour tonight then off to pyramids tomorrow and then overnight train to Aswan.
Got a bit of Egyptian spending money for the travels ahead. Makes me feel so rich!

      There largest bill is £200, about $4US. Things are cheap here, we bought some tomatoes, £1 each, so about 3 cents canadian.

A beautiful mountain town. Most of the buildings are painted blue. Very clean with an unbelieveable amount of ferel cats. Went on a mountain hike through the Rif mountains that was quite strenuous but had a wonderful home cooked lunch at a gite at the end before taking a 4×4 vehicle back to the hotel.
