Timbavati Safari Lodge



 Easy day today, traveled short distance to new lodge. Went for walk looking for the "small five", saw none of them but close up to zebras and rare Melanie zebra.

The small five are ant lion, rhinoceros beetle, elephant shrew, buffalo weaver and leopard tortoise.

    I laughed out loud when I saw the picture of the rare Melanie Zebra! Hadn't heard of the small five, or if I did - I'd forgotten! Very cool!

A beautiful mountain town. Most of the buildings are painted blue. Very clean with an unbelieveable amount of ferel cats. Went on a mountain hike through the Rif mountains that was quite strenuous but had a wonderful home cooked lunch at a gite at the end before taking a 4×4 vehicle back to the hotel.
